There is something about being on the water when the wind is up. It reaches deep into the heart of adventure, courage and the spirit of exploration. These paintings were born out of the reflections of moments on the water in summer with my children in their little O'Day. We imagined ourselves great explorers in the little coves and shorelines near our cottage.
About the Maker
Glass Muriel is the studio that produces goods founded in the work of Northern Michigan artist Melissa Anne Smith. Inspiration here is found in nature, the garden, the woods, and the water. Personal faith is the foundation from which the work is created. A love of people, community, legacy, and the processes of folk and high craft is the fuel that keeps creativity flowing our hearts.
